One of Those Weeks

I’ve been feeling very overwhelmed this week.

I don’t know… actually, I think I do know. Sometimes everything just comes together at once, and I think this week it’s just been too much for me.

As a single parent, I have my off days, and I have my good days. And this week has been one of my off days.

It’s been very, very difficult.

It’s the same things I do all the time, but somehow this week everything has felt harder. Even exercising, which is usually something that helps me, has been very difficult.

So, yeah… that’s where I’ve been this week.

Just feeling very low.

And I think not having enough people around me that I can truly trust has made it even more difficult. There are some things you can’t just share with anyone. Some things are on a much deeper level, and you need someone you can genuinely trust and feel safe enough to open to.

I don’t really have that right now.

And that has been very difficult.

But I’m still hopeful.

I’m still going.

I’m still looking for that breakthrough.

Even now, I’m doing okay. I’m grateful to God. The kids are doing well — really, really well — and I’m grateful for that.

I’m also still looking for that other thing I can do, that opportunity that could lead to the financial breakthrough and financial security I need for myself and my children.

So, I keep going.

Even on the difficult days, I keep going.

And maybe that’s something I need to remind myself of more often.

I also need to forgive myself for neglecting my own needs.

For not paying attention to myself.

For putting myself last for so long.

Today, I’m choosing to give myself grace for that too.
